Altar servers are a very important ministry in the Church. It is a privilege to assist the priest at the Altar. Being a server means serving God and his people at mass. Part of the ministry of servers is to help "set the pace" for all who take part in the Mass. What they do can help others to understand the Mass better which in turn can make their love for God stronger. Altar Servers are very fortunate to have been chosen by God to serve during the celebration of the liturgy. Their role is very important as they are one of the closest persons to the Altar and the Priest during Holy Mass and the administration of the Sacraments.
Requirements for Altar Servers are:
A strong desire to serve at the Altar of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be an active member of the parish community.
Have already made their First Holy Communion.
Please contact the parish office if you feel called to serve God in this way.
