The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is known as RCIA. It is the process of instruction, prayer, spiritual growth and formation for those wishing to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church. It is open to all people, but is specifically designed for the following:
Prepare those desiring to learn more about the Catholic faith
Prepare adults who have never been baptized
Prepare those from other faiths who desire to become Catholic
Prepare baptized Catholics who have never received First Communion or Confirmation
Classes meet weekly from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. beginning in September. The pinnacle of RCIA occurs at the Easter Vigil when one is fully initiated into the Church. There is no charge for the class. All classes are held in the Parish Library. Should you have questions or wish to register for RCIA, please call the Religious Education Department (772) 878-1215
